march 19, 2009 - Nesting
In my old age, and as a mom I am trying to be more festive. Decorating here and there for this and that holiday. Getting the family in the mood to 'think spring' or 'think fall' or whatever we are supposed to be gearing up for next. On the eve of spring I thought I would show you this treat from designer Shelly Kennedy of droozStudio. Shelly and I go way back and I can just picture she and her daughter maybe, scouring the woods in their Syracuse area neighborhoods for twig and lovely pieces of moss to create the Woodland Fairy Nest that you can now find in her collection. She has flawless taste and execution in each of her pieces and this nest is no different. I wish for one to adorn my dining room table. Then after Easter dinner I would hand out the Tiny Tiara's (also a Shelly creation) to my child guests as Easter favors. The nest is rather large (Super Large) as it states on her site, so a perfect centerpiece. Each Tiny Tiara (the nest includes 3) is a glass heirloom quality decoration for your child to admire from afar. Only a handful are available so if you are looking for that perfect piece to bring out year after year and get you 'thinking spring', look no further.
